Crescent
Kicks with the Ball

Coaching Points:
Crescent
kicks can also be performed while incorporating the
use of a ball.
Divide the entire group into three's. Three players using one ball. Players
work in an area approximately 10 yards x 10 yards or 9 metres x 9 metres.
Working in three's, one player is the working player
(receiver), one the server and the third player
stands with arms extended.
The working player
performs
an outside crescent kick over the extended arm of
the assisting player, then volleys the ball back to
the sever.
The server, serves the ball (underhanded) to the receiving
player, who plays it back to the server. Work both
sides of the body, alternating feet.
Progression: Perform
same practice using the inside crescent kick. Allow
the ball to "bounce once" before volleying the ball.
Perform 20 repetitions and exchange roles. Repeat 3
times.
